RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The 16th-ranked University of Chicago volleyball team improved to 19-2 on the season with a 25-15, 25-13, 25-17 win Wednesday night at Concordia University Chicago.
Senior outside hitter Isis Smalls (Humble, Texas/ Atascocita) hit a team-high eight kills, while junior middle blocker Caroline Brander (River Forest, Ill./ Trinity) (pictured) collected six kills in eight attempts.
The victory marked the Maroons' 20th consecutive win over an unranked Division III opponent and their 50th in 52 matches since Oct. 30, 2009.
Concordia fell to 7-11.
Chicago returns to action Friday evening at Wheaton (Ill.) College.
